Something changed on my Xbox One and now all of the motion on my display is very jittery/choppy and not smooth. It appears to be losing frames. This is very noticeable when planying a movie as the motioin is very choppy, the dialog doesnt align with the
actors mouths, etc. It is also noticeable on the home screen as you swipe left and right, the motion is choppy and not smooth.

I've bypassed my receiver and plugged the HDMI directly into the TV and the results are the same. My TV (not going through the Xbox) is fine so I know its not the TV or the receiver.

Any ideas on what could cause the drop in framerate or choppiness? I will try a factor reset but I would rather not lose all of my saved games and apps.

    thanks!

    :)

  2. Choppy all around?

Is it just me, or is the entire system rather choppy at times, dropping frame no matter what you are doing (apps, games, or just using the interface)? It's mostly noticeable when doing things like watching movies from a Blu-ray or Netflix, but also affects
games (like the end credits of Ryse). It's not like it is super distracting with games, but with movies it ruins the fluidity of the video. This seems like an issue that can be fixed with a firmware update and is not really something that appears to be a
hardware defect, more than it is OS performance.

There definitely is a noticeable difference from 30 to 60 fps. Take a look at
    this website
for a comparison between 15, 30, and 60. Big differences.

In Reach, a lot of cutscenes dropped significantly in frame rate, and it was very noticeable. Things would get blurred, choppy, and slow.

You should check your net connection, part of the choppy visuals is caused by lagging.
