Display randomly flickers repeatedly with one second of static

I'm having this really weird issue with my Xbox One. Every once in a while when I turn the console on, the display will show a second of static, then go back to normal for a few seconds, then repeat this until I turn off the console. I haven't figured out
what causes this to happen, but restarting the console one or more times will typically "fix" it so it stops happening (at least until some point in the future when it starts again).

This isn't just the live TV being static-y, the entire system's display is affected, so I don't think it has anything to do with the pass-through from my cable box.

Flickering issue

When I turn my xbox one the display flickers is not stable. After the few seconds the screen blacks out.I reseted my console. But the same issue. Then I changed a few display settings like from 1080p to 640 x 480. Then it was stable. But things got blured
and the screen size shrunk.

 

Netflix & Blue-Ray Player Flickering

I have been in contact with regarding my issue with Netflix & The Blue-Ray player app. and was advised to post on here for more support. Ref number: 1389087687

Whenever i load up the netflix app or insert a dvd my screen flickers blue and static every 2-5 seconds. i have to restart my xbox one to get back to normal.

please help

 

I haven't tested this enough to say for sure, but it seems like this happens when I start the console using the controller's on button, as opposed to the console's own power button or starting it through Kinect.

 

I'm having the same issue, it happens every 10secs (you can count it). Out of interest what brand of TV do you guys have?

 

I have a Panasonic plasma and it's happening to me constantly. The only thing that temporarily solves it is power cycling.

 

I have a Panasonic too. Just trying to narrow down the problem if possible

 

Same issue here, with a Panasonic plasma. Was there ever any resolution. It just started occurring this week for me.

Sorry to hear about the display issues. I recommend trying a few steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.



Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One for 5 seconds.
• Once your console powers off, unplug the power cable.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on you console and check to see if you continue to experience the flickering issue.
  
• If the issue continues, try plugging your HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
  
• If possible, try using a different HDMI cable.

If after trying the suggested steps you are still experiencing the flickering issue, please let us know.

 

So this problem went away for several weeks after following those steps, but the static started up again today. Following those steps again worked and the static stopped.

So I guess it is a fix, but not a permanent one?

 

I have noticed this on my Panasonic Plasma as well, Only on some HD channels. I always see it on CBC News Network HD on my Bell TV which i watch religiously every week day morning. I came on here saw the suggestions of a hard reset and did them and it worked
so i didn't bother posting until now, because its back, and its more annoying and frequent then before. THe preview update which i am enrolled for is supposed to address quality issues with some HD programming, but my Box has not updated to the preview yet
sill i'll wait and see when it rolls in to my box.

 

My tv picture goes off for a second or so every 10 minutes or so but the sound always stays on any solutions?.

 

Hello mister Quimby, this is no permanent FIX.

 

Well This morning, I had no static watching the news for about 2 hours. So it "might" be fixed in this latest preview.

 

The same thing happens to me. Power cycling the XBox usually resolves it temporarily. I have a Panasonic plasma as well. Every couple of seconds the screen will display half-static, half black or white over and over again until I unplug the system and
plug it back in again. Very annoying.
