Display options on original Xbox One

I have a 144Hz 1ms response time FreeSync monitor (Acer XF240H), but when low-latency mode and variable refresh rate are both greyed out. I'm using the original Xbox One which could be the problem. Also, I'm using a HDMI splitter, but a direct connection
    doesn't change any thing.

    Thanksn

    :)

    From the support page:

    • Your display must support 120Hz over HDMI. While some monitors support 120Hz over DisplayPort, they may not support it over HDMI.
    • 120Hz is only available for 1080p and 1440p. If you change your resolution to 4K UHD or 720p, the refresh rate will be set to 60Hz by default.
    • If your console is set for 4K UHD and you change your refresh rate to 120Hz, your resolution will be downgraded to the highest resolution available for your display.

    Hi,

Sorry but the Acer XF240H only supports FreeSync over display Display port,
not HDMI. This information was obtained from the online manual for that monitor.

While it's possible to buy HDMI to Display port adaptors, these devices
will not give you FreeSync support to your display either. Sorry.

Quite a few users are falling foul to this issue, they just buy a FreeSync monitor without checking on its capabilities and simply assume FreeSync will work with HDMI on every display, it unfortunately does not.

As M3tal Daz3 has already stated. To get this to work, your display must support 120Hz over HDMI.

That’s a shame, I found out about Xbox free sync support after I bought it and thought I would be able to make my xbox run a bit smoother.

    Thanks for the answer though!

    Changing to original avatar

    Hey Knapie,

I don't believe you're importing it, it's more or less simply just setting which one you want to display. Is there an option that says to "Use Original Avatar"?

Wow thanks for letting me know(I own the original xbox one). Also, would I need a display port to get at least 120hz or only 60 because I have An original xbox one.
