    Hi

    I have just seen my TV display on the Xbox dashboard shrinking down to a smaller screen. I think it was the 720p resolution. But I remember checking the resolution when it happened before this time, and I think it said 4K UHD. After turning my TV screen back on after going to do something. I thought it was something to do with the HDMI re driver chip but I'm not sure.

    Someone on Facebook said that it might be the TV getting confused about which source it's on but I really don't have much of an idea.

    This started happening several months ago but doesn't happen very often. I posted it in an Xbox group on Facebook and someone said to change the source, let it auto adjust and then switch back. I changed the source onto the TV option, waited a few seconds and then switched back. It still displayed the smaller resolution screen.

    This is the first time it has happened in several months. I'm just wondering if it's a glitch or an actual issue with a component.

    I have an Xbox Series X

    My TV is a Samsung 43 inch

    Model number is: UE43TU7100KXXU

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm thinking the issue is with the TV. So if you can play for like a day on a different one and see if the issue occurs there, it would be great. That way we can isolate the issue further.

    This happens randomly and I cannot make it happen. It just happens when I turn my screen off and then back on some time later. It also does it randomly. I've used another TV to watch films on but I don't think it's done it on that TV.
