Display issues with start up, avatars, and games

I am having problems with my Xbox 360 4 GB I just bought in December 2014. Just this week, the start up screen and avatars are not displaying correctly. The best way to describe it is the images appear as rectangular or square shapes instead of the 3D shapes
they are supposed to look like. The only game that seems to work is Minecraft because of the graphics in that game. All other games are displaying the main pages, but the characters are not showing or the actual game. The volume works fine for everything so
the games are working. The dashboard displays properly except for the avatar on the Social Page. Even the videos are showing properly on the Main Dashboard page. Any ideas?

Can (should) I do a factory reset? The system is used mostly by my kids and there are not too many saved game data. I transferred all the data to a USB drive today.

Issues with start up screen

Hi so my friend is having a problem with his Xbox start up screen. He joined the Xbox preview program and for some strange reason, he turned it off for a couple hours but then when he turns it back on, it doesn't load anything up, but instead puts up a "something's
went wrong" screen and when he tries to click ok the screen keeps popping back up.

I was wondering if there was anyone who can assist us on the situation.

Xbox1 Start up Display problem

My Xbox1 was initially connected to my tv via a 3 way HDMI splitter. I have changed the HDMI lead and connected it direct to the Tv. I still have the problem. It normally happens when the Xbox1 has been off for a long period i.e over night, however as it
is not a persistent fault it doesn't always happern

If you are connected via HDMI then you could try using a different cable or composite cable to see if that improves the issue. If a new HDMI cable solves it then the issue was with your old cable. If you were using HDMI and the composite cable fixes it
then the issue is with the graphics card.

If you wish to try a factory reset and you have transferred the saves to an external USB and remember the email/passwords for the tags then go ahead and give it a try as well.

If those things don't help though you may need to send the console in for a repair.

OK, that's weird, so it seems to be a game issue - they're not pulling the most updated information available.

Can you open up either Minesweeper or Sudoku please? They're free games, and both display your Avatar on the first page. Report back with whether it's the most recent version of the Avatar, or if like in the other games it's an older version.

So when you click the link the Avatar editor does not load up but instead says to start the games application? Do you mean its telling you to start the application? The Avatar editor is primarily done through the app but since it was having issues the online
way is another option to try.

Is it the new Avatar editor you are having trouble with or the Original Avatar app having issues?

Does it allow you to create a new avatar? It seems the issue is with loading your current avatar. If you can include a screenshot of the error it may be helping knowing what could be causing the issue.

Avatar Chess is 240 points on the Indie Games service. The issue here is most likely an issue from inside the demo which isn't displaying the new price.

it says start the games app. clicking it does nothing, going to the games app has no option to change avatar, on the website the edit avatar button shows up for a second then is replaced with a blank while looking avatar that cannot be clicked. no errors
