    Display issue just started - flashes black and back on over and over, sometimes loses signal


    After having my console for a month with no issues, last night the display started to flash black, then back on, then black, then back on. Sometimes it would stay black for a while and the TV would go to the "no signal" screen on TV. Sometimes it would return
    to the game or page I was on and stay working for a period of time.

    I have tried turning off and removing power cord, letting it sit over night, but problem started immediately after boot (thought it might have been a heat issue, but the system was still cool at this point).

    I have tried turning resolution from 4k to 1080p, but have the same results.

    Any suggestions for additional troubleshooting or resolution?

    Am typically running 4k resolution, have an LG OLED 4k display with proper HDMI cable, using correct HDMI port on TV. As mentioned, was working great for weeks before problem started last night, and now persistently happening.

    Another one with Black Screen flash - Philips HDTV

    We also have black screen flash on our Philips HDTV. The Xbox one will display a black screen, no sound for 3-5 seconds multiple times, randomly, during games, live TV, DVD, sometimes it's almost unusable. We have tried alternative hdmi cables and this
    makes no change. Looking on here it seems other Philips owners have the same issue, the tv is recent and was over £1000 so to find this issue is not good. Looks like Sony Bravia owners are experiencing similar Display issue just started - flashes black and back on over and over, sometimes loses signal :(

    Occasional blank screen while playing on xbox one s

    Hi I'm a little late to this. I have a newer Samsung SUHD 65in 4k TV that I just purchased last year. I have this same issue with my Xbox One S. When I put my xbox one S into 4k settings my tv goes black every so often as well. I have noticed if i unplug
    the hdmi cable and plug it back in. The screen will sometimes rapidly flash to black over and over every 2 seconds. I then restarted my xbox one s and it went away. However my tv still flashes to black on 4k settings but currently it does it every 30 mins
    or so, very annoying. So it is not a tv issue it seems like its an Xbox one s communication issue with the tv.

    So is there any xbox updates on this?

    Component video problem.

    On the old forums there was a long thread about the apparent visual artifact of the 360 crushing blacks as compared to the PS3 or a PC. It didn't seem to care if the signal was carried over Component or HDMI and there was a lot of possible reasons, but nothing
    was really testable. If I remember right the HDMI signal seemed to compensate better because of the gamma correction curve that is possible with HDMI reporting back the display information back to the console or the color format being used.

    I just started having this same issue. It had been working properly for one year. But suddenly the TV signal from my Comcast cable box began to cut in and out, and eventually just displays a blue screen (though someitmes it flashes to "Your TV signal
    was lost" then flashes back to blue).

    At first I thought it was my cable box, so I replaced that. Then I replaced the HDMI cable.

    Everything else on the XBOX works fine. And if I connect my cable box direct to my TV, it works fine. So it must be with the XBOX One itself.

    ...and my warranty expired. Great.

    it is just an HDMI passthrough, the TV window on the dasboard will display whatever video signal comes through over HDMI. the Xbox One displays info on the video using its built in overlay

    3d blu ray problems

    My TV does the same. Starts the disc and plays all the 2d content, then when the 3d signal kicks in the TV loses the signal. If however I unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in again, the 3d image is displayed on the TV.

    My TV is the LG OLED55E6T TV (firmware version 05.30.15
