Disney Plus South Africa

Hi,

Since Disney Plus is launching in South Africa on the 18/05/2022, will the app be available to all South Africans on xbox on that date? or will there a delay for this to become available for us?

Disney plus had launched in South Africa in May already. But the app is still not available…

It's beginning to look like we simply won't be getting Disney+ software for any of our Microsoft platforms. Sadly. A work-around is to log into Disney+ from your XBOX MS Edge browser. Then, once logged in, quick resume it every time you want to watch a Disney product. The delay for releasing the software here in SA could be related to the myriad of licensing requirements to get a TV show and a movie to be broadcast/streamed in a specific market over a specific medium (like on demand streaming here).

Either way, maybe we could put together a petition for Disney to expedite the release of their App for XBOX (and other MS?) platforms? If we create a demand, they should be willing to supply.

Yes Disney+ as a service is available but this thread is about the xbox app not being available

Dont blame microsoft nor xbox. Blame disney. I have the same problem
