Disney Infinity Closing

Well my kids have a bunch of collectible (I hope) figurines.

It was a good concept but I guess it never really took off like Disney expected. There's only so much you could really do.

I'm told it was all sandbox mode and no real kind of story mode except for certain characters.

Do you think the Lego Dimensions and Skylanders are headed for the same path?

Yes, it just has to be the same system.

I bought Disney 2.0 base and it works fine with the digital download of 3.0.

The reason 3.0 is available digitally and 2.0 wasn't

 

well thats a bit crap, is infinity an online game also, if so then that will be shut down very soon too, just waiting now for legi dimensions and skylanders to go.

 

Bummer. I always held off on buying this game simply because I knew I'd want to collect all the figures and I just don't have the money for that. It's unfortunate.

 

I wouldn't worry about Skylanders.

Skylanders is the World Of Warcraft Cash Cow that Disney wanted to get a slice of.

 

^that's kind of what I was thinking when Disney Infinity was released. Skylanders was too big for people to want to collect both imo.

 

My kids have a bit of both. It got way to expensive to buy them all.

 

That's why I avoided starting lol I knew I'd at least need all the Star Wars ones. Games are expensive as is, adding figures would make my wallet pretty unhappy.

 

I only picked up the Star Wars stuff on this.Do need to get The Force Awakens playset though.

Had to keep it hidden from my little nephew though otherwise i'd get nagged into buying everything for it lol
