    Disney+ app gives region error after reinstalling


    I recently did an offline OS upgrade on my XBOX One X. Since then the Disney+ app is not launching. It gives me the error73 (region error). I am in South Africa which does not have a Disney+ region restriction. The app was working pre-update.

    I have checked the location settings and I do not have a VPN. Restarted the Wifi router and checked that the internet connection is fine.

    I thought maybe that the OS was out of date as Disney+ only became available in South Africa in 2022, but in the settings it says that the console is up to date.

    Hi I have the same problem I got my xbox 360 from middle east and when we moved here i changed the region code and after that i got "mortal kombat" and "skylenders "and "Disney infinity" and there were no problems , but now! i bought Fifa 14 and it gives
    me region code error . further more the games are all NTSC . some one please give some suggestions .

    Thank you everyone who replied and suggested help. I finally got an answer from Disney+ Tech support and their answer is as follows:

    1) Delete the app

    2) Hard Power Cycle your system

    3) Re-download the App

    4) After logging into the App first launch Disney+ original shows (if no errors load other shows)

    After all this all shows have started to work with no errors to report.

    Reset the app that gives you this error, reinstall the app that gives you this error, reset the Windows Store.

    If I play a movie I can fast forward and see the scenes but after a sec it still gives me “Error Code 39”

    Has anyone else had this problem resolve itself or have another option to fix it?

    I have replicated the steps that you have mentioned above in this order

    -uninstall the game / reinstall the game

    -uninstall xbox app / reinstall xbox app

    -update xbox app

    -reinstall gaming services package

    -update xbox

    -resetting xbox app

    After doing these steps It still gives the same error.
