Disney adventures crashes on character select

I installed the game on my PC with gamepass. It runs fine until I try to start the game after the character select in the beginning. It freezes when I hit start each and every time no matter what I try. I have made sure latest drivers are updated and restarted computer several times. But no matter what it freezes each and everytime i try to start a new game.

Try making sure you have the Xbox app open and it’s logged in before starting the game. It feels like it’s crashing trying to make a cloud save

Thanks for the replies. I do not have an antivirus. Windows defender antivirus and firewall is turned off. The Xbox app is most definitely running when I launch the game. For example i can run Microsoft flight simulator just fine on gamepass but when I try either of the Disney games one freezes and one crashes. I went through and installed all the visual basics c+ files from 2008 to current year and still didn't help.

Rush: a Disney Pixar adventure crashes everytime too. Gets to the start screen then the game just exits. I have 0 problems with any other game on game pass .. only these disney games which sucks bc my 4 year old is in tears at the moment

Kindly reinstall the game with the Antivirus turned off.
