    Hi I changed my gamertag and dont like it. Can I go back to the old one somehow? Apparently the old on is over the 12 character limit, but can xbox support just set it back to the old one?

    you will have to pay for a name change, you will have no choice but to stay within the 12 character limit as there is no way back to an older gamertag once changed.

    The only way to not get a hashtag is by changing your gamertag to one nobody else has :) I personally dislike it as well. It is a good idea, since many tags aren’t available, but the beauty of having something original has no prize hehe
