Disk vs Digital Download

Hello,

Wondering if someone can shed some light on this issue? I have noticed that not all backward compatible games have prices next to them? For instance from my XB1 if i wanted to purchase and download the digital version of Orange Box there is no price listed
on the game store, however I had purchase it from the XB site for it to show up on my XB1?

Doom 3 BFG, no prices listed anywhere to purchase this game digitally.

Rage, no price listed anywhere to purchase the game digitally.

Mass Effect, I purchased through the MS store digitally but I can't buy ME2 or 3 cause it says it's not available, but I know it was just made available. I don't want a digital version of ME and then have to buy disks for ME2 and 3, this makes no sense!

This is very confusing, I wanted to start creating a digital library of all my favourite games but don't want the disk versions. I just want to
re-purchase these digital copies. I am willing to repay for them all.

So am I doing something wrong here, am I not looking in the right place for these digital copies? I reside in Toronto, Canada... is location a factor?

Can someone please explain how digital downloads work for XB1 and backward compat cause this is just nuts!

XB1 Full Game Digital Downloads

I agree the digital downloads should be cheaper. It seems as though the opposite is taking place. All of the discounts seem to be on the physical disks. I have wondered if there have been sales problems with physical disks as more of us opt for the convenience of digital downloads. Why not offer discounts on the digital downloads to encourage people to give up on the disks and we can move away from disks completely? If it was $10-$15 cheaper for the downloads no one would care if you could resell the disk or not?

Ya usuallt you buy a disk and within the limits set by the digital rights managements you can get a digital copy

But that doesnt give you an unlimited license

Disks usually have the cost of the download built in

Vs making an iso making thousands of copies its not practical

Yes Mister Maka is correct in that not all games are available digitally to buy but mass effect 2 and 3 are not available digitally because they are on two separate disks.
