Disk unreadable error

I'm getting an odd error with my 360 slim.

On multiple games, I've received an error saying that the disk is unreadable. I've tried installing them to the hard drive and running them off the disk, but the error appears in the same places. However, I've tried running the disks on another 360 and they
work fine. The error seems to occur when entering new areas or starting on new levels. On one game, the error did disappear when I ran the game off the disk, and has since been fine to play when installed too. I have tried clearing the cache, but it did nothing.

Assasin's Creed Unreadable Disk Error

Anyone seeing the same problem with AC 4? I am having the unreadable disk error. I cleared cache, nuked and restored my profile, uninstalled everything relating to the game...Disk still unreadable.

Wait, in your tags, it says "Unreadable disk". If the 360 gives an unreadable disk error, it means just that, it can't read the disk.

If you play an xbox game that is NOT backwards compatible, it will FLAT OUT SAY "THIS ORIGINAL XBOX GAME IS NOT COMPATIBLE". Not "this disk cannot be read".

Try cleaning the disk. Are there any scratches on it?

 

If it happens on more then one disk then chances are your disk drive is going bad.

 

As my 360 is rather new and still under warranty, is this something usually covered if it is so?

I've now tried cleaning it with compressed air too and it didn't fix it.

 

If the disk drive is going bad then it should be covered under warranty.

 

Hello, iam having this problem only on FIFA16 and specifically when loading the tournaments, any explanation?
