Disk problem please help me, recognize problem

Same here. My disk is in great condition and I have no problem reading other disks... It just doesn't recognize black ops

No...other than take it back if you just bought it. Resist the urge to take it to any store, shop, relative, friend, etc., who claims they can fix it. If they open the console and change out the drive, MS will detect a hardware change and issue you a console
ban...in which case your console will never connect to Live again. If you can't return it, then you will have to call support and order a repair to the tune of $100-$120.

There are micro switches inside the DVD drives that detect when the drive is open, or closed. Sounds like one or th either is faulty. Take it back under warranty or have it repaired.

Well it's more than that, do you have pets in your home? Is your home dusty? Sometimes the ribbon in your console that opens and closes the tray, it's a rubber band type ribbon that does this sometimes get hair on it or dust and it doesn't catch as well
as it used to. If you clean it out, take a look inside when the console is open with a flashlight to see if there is any debris on this ribbon, if you don't see any then most likely it's a faulty disk drive and needs to be serviced, if this is an old console
this is a good time to upgrade to the slim version, though try cleaning the ribbon first, or some canned air.
