    Disk Lost?


    So I encountered an odd issue today and can't find an answer anywhere.

    Last week, I was playing a game, and it just stopped working and froze, so I reset the Xbox 1 and shut it off. This week, I went back to play it again, having not used it for anything else in the meantime except to watch Netflix/Hulu/etc, and it tells me
    to insert the game disk when I try to load it.

    So I tried to eject the disk, and it doesn't do anything. I inserted another disk to see if I could, and it went in fine and ejected fine. I don't have any other games to play and nobody else has touched the Xbox 1. So either the game disk just disappeared,
    or it's somehow been dislodged from the tray and is just sitting inside somewhere somehow. I don't hear anything rattling if I shake it, though.

    Has anyone encountered this before? Any advice?

    Hi,

    Your disc won't be still inside your console. The Xbox One Blu-ray drive (just like all optical drives) is an enclosed unit and can only take one disc at a time there is literally nowhere for a disc to go, other than be picked up by the drive and spun. If
    there is already a disc there or otherwise stuck in the drive, the other disc wouldn't go in.

    I have never personally encountered this but I have a friend that did and he never got an answer back from Xbox on what was wrong but he sent it into Xbox and they sent him a new one because he had only had it for a week and they also sent him a new game
    because they did find it in the Xbox itself.

    it couldn't be inside the xbox because it simply couldn't play it, wouldn't you have removed it once you started the xbox?
