Disk installation not working

Hey man, I had the same problem for a while. One day, I thought, 'why not' and tried installing it with the update. It took quite a bit of time, including having to start the installation again, but eventually I got it fully installed. Without that, I'd
only get to about 43% before it wouldn't go any further. I recommend you try that.

Is your system positioned vertically or horizontally? I have one game disk (a backwards compatible 360 game) that will only install when my One S is positioned horizontally.

Besides the disc being damaged the only thing that will affect your console this way is if one of your router settings is not getting to your Xbox the correct way due to interference or a worn cord, it could even just be you need to reboot on your router

no, disks are linked to accounts when installed, if he uses your disk to install, he would need your disk to play. Sorry, but won't work.

I have an Xbox 360-s with 320gb HDD.

AC Black Flag ... Disk 2 works great, can play tutoial no prob. Disk 1 ( install disk) unrecognizable.

Black ops ghosts ... Disk 1 works great. Can play local and online. Disk 2 ( install disk ) unrecognizable.

GTAV 2 sets of disks, install never made it to disk 2.

Diablo also un-recognizable.

All disks are pristine.

Battlefield 4 loaded no problem along with a few other titles. Have a hard time believing it is a bad opticle drive. reads lots of disks no problems. Just not install disks on a lot of newer titles.
