disk eject button

I may be missing something obvious, but if you're going to eject a disk, that means you, or someone else, would need to get up to either take the disk out / replace it with another disk / put the ejected disk in a case. So basically, someone has to actually
get up / move to take care of the ejected disk. So, is it really a big issue if you do, in fact, have to push a button on the console to eject the disk? I don't get the issue?

The Eject button is on the front of the original Xbox One console right next to the disk drive, while the Bind button is on the left side, directly adjacent to the disk drive, with a symbol that looks like “)))” on it.

There is no fancy powered cup holder on this model. You just slid the disk into the slot. I never did like this design but there it is. When you press the eject button on the right it will eject the disk. There is also on the left side of the console
an emergency eject button that you will need to have a stiff wire paperclip to reach. There are pictures of it somewhere you can google that, (oh right Microsoft site better make that BING it.).

i am having the same problem but no disk in the drive so eject does nothing

try to turn console on with the controller middle button while tapping the eject button, just worked for me with no disk in
