My disk drive stop working after the February update .I contacted support and they wanted me to cough up 115. for a repair I explained to them if it's an issue that Microsoft is aware of shouldn't it be repaired for free. they claim there unaware of the
issue lol .the money II and other consumers spent on this console it used last for 4yrs without issues .My Xbox 360 is still going strong and it's 11yrs old . It leaves a bad feelin in your gut as a longtime and loyal XBOX customer to be treated this way and
for them to play dumb like they are unaware of this issue when it all over forums, WIKILEAKS, and Internet. come on Microsoft you never acted like this before and issues that you are aware of

What I do to trigger an update that won't download is Open your disk drive, Turn off the xbox(make sure disk drive stays open), Put disk into disk drive, Turn on xbox. This will close the drive and automatically trigger the download.

Each console has a one year manufacturer's warranty by default. Repairs should be free if the console is still within warranty time (tracked by the console's serial number).

If you're out of warranty, then they'll start charging you for repairs, hence the $115 cost to replace your disc drive.
