Disk drive won't take disks

Hey I removed a game from my console and now it won't take a new disk. It feels like somethings blocking it but theres nothing. I tried reseting it and everything

What I do to trigger an update that won't download is Open your disk drive, Turn off the xbox(make sure disk drive stays open), Put disk into disk drive, Turn on xbox. This will close the drive and automatically trigger the download.

Yes you do. But the disk won't spin. Keeps your disk drive from wearing out.

When you say you have tried resetting, have you done a hard reset? (Hold the power button for ten seconds?)

If that doesn't work, it may be worth trying this: support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/manually-eject-disc

If something IS jammed, it may just dislodge it.

I wouldn't say it WILL work, but it's worth trying before thinking of repairs as an option.

Having same problem. Bought from Amazon and disk drive has crunching noise and won't read or play any disks.

Give everything a good ol' Vacuum up and clean out the disk drive. You won't have a warranty, so I'd take it to a Private Repair Shop.

Walking dead is a disk, when installed I put the disk in the disk tray and the game start (from the hard drive).

When Halo is installed (and the disk in the disk tray), if i launch the game, the game will not launch from the hard drive.

I have a FAT 360 (rodded once), I have to take care of his life span, i need to play from Hard drive.

Any solution??
