  1. Disk Drive Faulty?

I purchased my xbox one on Nov 22, 2013 and it has been working fine, until now.. Recently, every time i put in a game whether its BF4, Forza 5, or cod ghosts(my dads game, trust me I hate ghosts with a passion), the disk goes into the drive and the console
makes this loud groaning/scraping noise and doesn't read the game. After several times ejecting and putting the disk back in, it will eventually work. Its really getting tiresome spending 5 minutes cycling between games. Could my disk drive be getting faulty,
    or is this another problem?

    :)

    xbox live connection failed

What I do to trigger an update that won't download is Open your disk drive, Turn off the xbox(make sure disk drive stays open), Put disk into disk drive, Turn on xbox. This will close the drive and automatically trigger the download.

Hey, yes that's definitely the disk drive, you should call Microsoft support asap to get it shipped out and fixed. Unless you bought a extended warranty from the store you bought it from, then I would just return it for a new one.

That's what I did this time around after having problems with the 360s rrod...

  6. It sounds like the disc drive is faulty, and i would be carefull about putting games into it, as you can damage the discs, and other people have had trouble getting their damaged discs refunded.

I would contact support and talk to them. Better to have it fixed than it getting worse and possibly ruining your game discs.

    Disk Drive Faulty?

When you contact support at 1-800-4MYXBOX just ask the rep to transfer you immediately to the hardware department. They will get you a replacement. There is a few different options you can take. Some are quicker than others. But for fast replacement you
may need to place a hold on your card for the price of the console until they get the faulty one back. Choice is yours though.
