Disk drive doesn't read games

when I put disks in my Xbox it doesn't read them. I would get it fixed or buy a new one but don't have enough money and i don't want to spend money on anyway I was just wondering if you could send me a download code for battlefield 1 since I can't play
it because it is on a disk

Also it can be cacheing issues Which are game specific as only only bad cache of files can prevent reading and writing

Installing onto hd doesn't stop disk drive wear it only slows it down

Xbox 360 takes minutes to load a dashboard application after using dvd drive

I was under the impression that Forza 3 disk 1 cannot be installed to the hard drive. It sounds like the DVD reader is trying to read the disk but it doesn't seem like it has to be like that. Does anybody else have this problem with the Xbox 360 S? Try
and do two different things with a disk in the drive.

I am having the same problem, but only with Skyrim! Hubby and I have both played it, have several profiles, but when I put the disk in now it doesn't read it at all. The dashboard says "reading disk" then "open tray". It is installed on the hard drive, but
the disk won't read. Very frustrating.

[/quote]if it doesn't install its obviously a problem with the disk and if it does install and still fails to read a disc you're disk drive would need repairing!
