    ^ Corvo and Emily eh?

Just watched the trailer and read the description (it had an age gate sign-in and I was skimming earlier) I kinda think Corvo was beyond a sequel. But oh well. He could have appeared in lore as the guy who trained Emily and X new guy. If any character had
    to be carried over.

So are they gonna Isaac Clarke him or, what? Add a voice? Hmm.

Two things putting me off so far, compared to the entire experience of the last game making me pumped for a sequel. One is my minor gripe of numbered sequels. The other is the fact they haven't shifted focus to new characters. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled
for real footage and story snippets though. Still pumped.

The only thing shallow was that opinion as usual based on very little actual gamplay time I will wager.

    [/quote]

All my gaming is part time.

    I have a family and a job.

Shallow would be removing someone from your friends list because you didn't agree with their opinion about Forza in the Forums.

At first I was enjoying "Dishonored".

It was released at a very bleak time. There was NOTHING else and it was so different that as I pointed out above people everywhere were gushing about how it was their "GOTY".

But it wasn't long before the mystique of being set in a Retro-futuristic Steampunk Dystopian Whaling Colony started to live up to being as daft as it sounds.

Yeah there was replay value. You could have gone A C B istead of A B C. You could have killed everyone instead of stealthily taking them out... but the feint and sleight of hand, while good at the beginning, kind of lost it's lustre really quick.

I probably got further than everyone else who packed it in when they got bored with it but don't mind not finishing a game who's entertainment value nosedived once the novelty wore off.

There's flogging a dead horse and then there's putting lipstick and eye-liner on the corpse.

"Dishonored" was a case of the latter.

If it was your first experience with a decent stealth game then it was probably a bit of a treat but for many others as well as myself once we say through the make up "Dishonored" became "Disinterested".

Of course if you loved dishonored I don't think any less of you.

It just wasn't for me for the reasons stated above.

How far did you play it? Not far I bet so your opinion on the whole game is invalid in my book. Now if you said "I didn't play much of it but didn't really enjoy etc etc". That's one thing making a judgement on a game you clearly haven't completed and
sounding off like you know it inside out is something else. But that's your style I guess.

What is it with you and having a job nowadays? Big deal I've had one for years, what's your point? And for the record it wasn't just because of the Forza disagreement.

It's flawed logic to equate the game's launch date, and the titles launched the same month (Resident Evil 6, Assassin's Creed III, Enemy Unknown), or lack thereof... with its success as a GOTY.

GOTY nominees go up against titles released in the year, not in the same month, and critics declaring GOTY contendership upon playing a game, still have to put the game in a category of other games for it to, y'know, contend for GOTY status.... it won in
categories with nominess like Mass Effect 3, FarCry 3, Journey, The Walking Dead... etc.

It's cool not to like something but I'm inclined to agree with Genchy... there's a lot of fluff around the "not my cup o' tea" thing. Heh ha. S'all good though. {XD

-- I just learned they're re-releasing Dishonored as a Definitive Edition for Xbox One. I won't be getting it but... cool.

Video games are a silly thing to argue and fall out over.

If video games are making you upset then there's something wrong.

If Internet Forums are making you upset there's something wrong there as well.

Just because someone thinks differently to you doesn't mean that they hate you Genchy.

It doesn't even mean they dislike you.

You'll probably remember a former frequent poster on the Forums and his really 'mature' signature that read something like "My only crime is outsmarting you... something which you can never forgive me for".

You need to get juvenile trash like that out of your head and stop thinking this is some sort of competition or popularity contest.

Or you'll end up like him. Burning out on the Forums because people failed to bow to his all knowing game knowledge and having fits because people dared to think their own thoughts.

It doesn't matter what I think. What seems to matter is that I don't think like you and rather than accept it and be confident with your own thoughts on the matter you get all into a fuss and try to insist that I must be some kind of special stoopidhead
for not thinking the same as you and then you have a go at me... for not thinking my own thoughts in a confident manner and backing it up with evidence from the experience I had.

Save having "Arch Enemies" for when you play Batman buddy.

You'll burn yourself out and end up rotten on the inside.

No Az I won't, I get on with most people but your style of posting rubbish about games you only scratch the surface of and yet give an opinion as if you have absolute knowledge of irritates me. Do I lose sleep over it?Nope.

  8. Dishonored 2 - first trailer

Dishonoured was brilliant, story, gameplay, visuals. In my opinion, Blink is just about the best power in any game I've played, I seriously couldn't get enough of blinking behind people to assassinate them and then jump to the next target because it freezes
time when you stand still, just awesome.

I loved that it appears Corvo has trained Emily in the arts of the assassin and you can play as both characters? That's amazing.

I really, really enjoyed Dishonored. It had an atmosphere that is difficult to describe but it's palpable as you play it. I'd be surprised if they could recapture it in a sequel. Granny Rags, plague, dystopia... just dark. Deeper if you're stealthy and listening
    to folk.

Then in the add-ons Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches (some of the best DLC I've played) carrying over that weirdly tragic whaling theme... was weird. But man, tying Daud's story into Corvo's was genius. Also playing as Daud, voiced, exposed the error
in having Corvo silent in the main game IMO. Made for a much better experience.

How cool was Daud's double Blink ability?

I'm assuming the protagonist of Dishonored 2 will be voiced too. Haven't seen the thingy yet.

In the meantime I still have to go back to get the last five Dunwall City Trials achievements. I hope they don't repeat that DLC for the sequel, ha, and also hope the UK version is spelled properly. lol They apologised at the VG BAFTA's for misspelling it.
Probs won't change it and add a U though, it's the title of the frickin' franchise. {XD
