    Good day!

    We have a Panasonic Vizio, Dish VIP 722 DVR. I assigned the Xbox to one of the HDMI ports of the Panasonic TV, and Xbox one found it! Great, right? Well, not exactly. When I switch the input to the composite setting on the TV, Dish isn't showing, it's
    only showing up on the Xbox's TV app.

    Am I only now able to watch the Dish on Xbox, even though I had separate inputs and select the input assigned to the component input on the tv.

    Xbox One with Dish Hopper

    So I am suppose to hook my Dish Hopper into my Xbox One. Right now, all my devices plug into my AV Receiver. If I plug my Dish Hopper into my Xbox One, By doing this, is it possible then for me to watch/access my hopper when not using the xbox box 1? If
    it's plugged into the xbox one, how would I only use the hopper and access my DVR?

    Xbox One with Dish HOpper

    xbox 1 not changing the channels on vip 722 receiver

    Studbucket - I actually tried the "Dish Network" instead of "Echostar" method and it hasn't produced any sort of results. I did notice that "VIP722 DVR" isn't actually an option when you try and enter it automatically. The only options seems to be ViP722,
    722, and DuoDVR722.

    On the phone with Xbox Support now. Hoping for a resolution other than pointing the Kinect at the satellite box...

    Dish TV and the X1

    I have DISH running through my XB1 and it works great. If you want to dvr a program you just use the dish remote.

    Xbox One with Dish Hopper

    I don't have the Hopper, I have the ViP 722, but the config should be the same. I have HDMI Out from the Dish DVR going to the HDMI In of the Xbox One. I then have an HDMI from the Xbox One passthru going to the TV. Although I do still have Audio Out
    going from Dish DVR to the SAT/TV input for my Pioneer receiver, I'm actually using the Optical out from the Xbox to the optical input of the Pioneer receiver. I changed the Xbox One audio setting from the default to Dolby Digital. That, coupled with the
    enhanced capabilities of the Pioneer receiver, I get fantastic audio from the system. I am able to turn on and off all components with voice commands. I am able to pull up the OneGuide, view and change channels with gesture or voice. I am able to pause,
    rewind, fastforward TV with voice or gesture, too. So far, I've seen no issues controlling the ViP 722. Now, as others have said, that's about the extent of any control we have over satellite DVRs at the moment. I'd REALLY like to be able to pull up my
    saved shows and watch them without having to use the DVR remote, but maybe that will come with future updates.

    If you use your Dish Hopper through the Xbox One, then the Xbox One would need to be one whenever you watch TV or DVR. If you want to use your DVR functionality, for now, you still would use your DVR remote to control this feature. The nice thing is you
    could get notifications while watching your TV or DVR.
