Disgusted by the quality of Xbox one controller!

I Have just invested in xbox one. I've been a user of their consoles, since the launch of their first and loyal to the product.

Credit where credit is due.

I'm sure it's been said before here, but I must vent at what I see as a substandard quality piece of hardware. It's shameful for the price tag. Xbox 360 controller, puts this to shame. The marketing made me think, this was, the all new singing and dancing,
super improved joystick over it's predecessor. That I couldn't wait to get my hands on.

Not only are there sharp edges at the seams of the controller. Not comfortable to hold at all!

Every grip creeks and twists the plastic. Very flimsy, piece of junk. Lost for words and I hope Xbox introduce a better standard for its.. so called next gen console. Is this a cost saving choice and use of cheaper materials or a consumer trick, to get
you buying new controller as this will definitely break.!?!

It's was also wonderful to find an incompatibility with virgin suber hun 2 and wireless connection for fifa and Cod. Leaving me with a pretty expensive luxury brick, till I wired it up. So NEXT Gen!

Talking to virgin.. they are talking to microsoft... blah blah blah etc etc

I Have spent £1000s on providering the family with xbox's. Countless Xbox live memberships from their very first service. Also, bringing many gamers to xbox.

Doe's anyone have sharp edge seams on their controller, or it this a new cheaper batch of consoles?

I Feel let down by quality control of what should be a quality product!

I Would like an answer from xbox and where to officially file a complaint.

Xbox one controller - exceptionally poor quality?

Just bought an xbox one this weekend, but much to my chagrin, the controller is of extremely poor quality. Half the controller seems loose and clicks when I apply slight pressure. Has anyone experienced extremely poor quality with xbox one controllers, or
am I standing alone on this one? It doesn't seem nearly as solid as the xbox 360 controller :-(

 

Very Disappointed With Xbox One Controller Quality

The Xbox One controller feels flimsy and of poor quality. Furthermore the texture of it is terrible,

 

I got 2 controllers for my XO console.

One of them had sharp edges, but BOTH of them had bumper problems (bumper not clicking/registering).

Got them replaced with two where the bumpers were fine. However, the new one had sharp edges on both sides), plus the sticks on BOTH controllers worked poorly. There was an extreme grindy feeling to them, and some strange noise when I moved them up and down.

The quality of XO controllers is very very poor in general. It is somewhat nice to see that I am not the only one who got unlucky. I have given up hope to get a fully functioning XO controller. Might wait to later when they aren't in a hurry and makes some
that hopefully works.

 

Thanks for your post Mike. I am shocked at the downgrade in quality for next gen. I Also have an injury to first finger right hand, from the trigger. When pushed in, the exposed edge of the controller is so sharp. it has blistered and now cut in to the finger.
I Will be ringing xbox as this cant be right. A Third party controller, will probably put this to shame.

boutton the A, B, X, Y, and + make noise so just an improvement for moin noise.

After going through about (im not kidding) 60-70 controllers here is a list of what problems I have noticed.

-Uneven panels

-Panels coming off

-Sharp edges where the panels meet

-"Start" and "Select button needs to be pushed hard to get it to register

-Friction in the triggers

-Face panel of controller moving position

-A,B,X,Y buttons making loud clicking noise

-A,B,X,Y buttons sticking

-Loose bumpers

-bumpers not clicking/registering

-"X" middle button not register/has dead spots

-Thumb sticks altering position/making clicking noise/not anchored to controller

I have to agree that the controller quality is horrible, I have tried to contact xbox via here and phone/chat and no one is helpful. I sent out my day one controller (at my expense) but they just kept sending me out defective products until the warranty
went out. So I went out today and bought a PS4. Never gonna buy anything from Microsoft again.
