Discussion: Should I still be able to get a refurbished Xbox One X in six months?...

You’re going to see a steep decline in games that will work on non-series consuls starting next year. Major titles are already launching this year like Star Wars without Xbox One support which includes the one X

So I would recommend you buy a series S instead of an Xbox one based system if you want it to last 4 years.

if you can, i would go with a new one. it would suck if you buy a refurbished one and it dies six months from now. you should get a good pair of HDMI cables with a nice new slim, that has a 320 gig HD. if mine every dies (who am i kidding, when mine dies)

The same has happened to me. This is supposed to be the flagship launch game for xbox one and six months down the line it still has game breaking bugs in it. I can understand these types of issues at launch but six months after!?Maybe they should focus on
fixing the game before trying to squeeze more money out of us with ridiculously overpriced dlc which should have been in the game to start with.

Actually, you get 6 months of skype-to-phone on the Xbox One when you buy it, but yes, it still requires Gold.

As for whether it stays snapped, I guess again it depends how similar it is to Windows 8.. with that the snap remains.

Are new consoles that much more powerful than a refurbished? My xbox is an "X", my understanding that a refurbished X Box was just one traded in and wiped. Perhaps the refurbished has a design flaw, in which case I can either exchange it or upgrade
to an a brand new X box. I'll do that, if you think it will work.
