I posted a comment on a recent discussion and the discussion got locked. The moderator referred to another post but did not provide the link. Why not provide the link? And why lock all the posts about the same subject?

That's the post I am referring to and it was a fairly recent discussion, March 2020. When I do a search for similar posts they are around 3 years old. I don't know just going in circles.

Good news though, my Xbox has stayed off for over 20 hours now.

Otherwise, youd have to ask that mod in question but I'm guessing him not including the link was just an accident on his part.

The moderator locked the post because it was older. We prefer that new threads are created instead of bumping old ones because things may have changed since the original thread was posted. You can also refer to the forum
guidelines to see why threads may be locked.

The post he was referring to in that thread was your reply which bumped the post, not a new thread. That's why there isn't a link posted.

u lot try having an xbox that scratchs ya discs and put white like glue on um the to send if off for repair and they dont even touch it
