If so, I might want to take Microsoft up on their $299 Xbox One X deal for a family member or close friend’s house. My aunt and uncle living in Fla. still have a Wii.

Will it still be able to stream movies and TV after 25 years?

As long as both Microsoft and Xbox are still around in 25 years then I would say they should still be able to stream media, but there is no guarantee.

Oh I think in 25 years will no one use a xbox one x or the flatscreen like today any longer.

The technology will change and its going on faster and faster.

This is a nice question, maybe it can be a good temporal solution but not for 25 years, maybe in that time there will be another xbox, who knows :D but technology changes fast!, but if you want to get the xbox one x you should wait for the end of the year,
the Series X is coming and maybe the xbox one x would be on sale.

    Have a Great day! :D

Tough call with tech moving so fast...but if i look back 25 years in retrospect... N64 and psones can still be used...with access to an obsolete CRT or a custom connector...so i say yes
