Discs won't eject or read

Well, my warranty expired on Feb 11 so naturally my disc drive crapped out last weekend. You guys are telling me that since it's out of warranty I need to pay $120 and wait 2-3 weeks plus transit time to get it back. This seems to be a pretty rampant
problem that you should be concerned with but it doesn't seem like you are; I know of other people LOCALLY (let alone on the forums) that have the same problem. I will be selling this fragile machine as soon as I get it back and I will be buying a PS4 in
the meantime; like you care since you'll already have my money for the console and also the repair. Because of your stellar engineering I get to be out $620 plus shipping only to sell this thing for $350 best case. I'm losing $200 after barely a year of
use. On top of that I still have 7 months of Xbox Live and a Call of Duty Season Pass and a bunch of other DLC that I'll be giving up.

While you might make a little money off of people up front this is not a sustainable business model. To prevent people like me from jumping ship, why don't you beef up your warranty and start training field service technicians at select stores (Best Buy,
Game Stop, etc)?

Brand new xbox and it won't accept or eject discs...

I have a brand soankinnnew xbox one and it won't accept or eject discs! It's a brand new machine and I just bought a new game and now my nhl 2015 is stuck in it! Wouldn't mind so much if it was stuck far enough in that it would read the disc

i got the same problem here, they want to charge me $115.00, i am done with microsoft, i cant even eject the game i have in the console, i tried their video of manually taking out disk but that didnt work either.

The paper clip trick worked for me but a) it's super ghetto and b) it was super tricky to get it to work; it took like 5 minutes to work and you need really big paper clip. Put a real disc tray in it. This disc drive is a joke.

I got a notification that mine is on the way back. All said and done I'll have spent $620 on the base console. I have already bought a PS4 and will be selling my XBone in the not too distant future; not like they care since they've already gotten more
money from me than a lot of people. I've had three generations of Xbox and I've bought a Live subscription for 5 years in a row. My biggest hangup is I still have about 6 months of Live and a CoD Season Pass that I'll be leaving in the breeze. I have to
give up all my Advacned Warfare Weapon Variants/gear and other DLC which is a real bummer.

I also got double charged for the repair initially, although that seems to have been resolved. From the time I sent out the console to the time I will get it back will be just a touch under two weeks which is pretty good. It's too bad that the overall
system and the warranty in general is garbage.

I went through two Xbox 360 consoles and one XBone. I'm done with these guys too. They really need to make stuff that makes it further than one month out of warranty.

this is a disc drive issue and would require a repair, if not in warranty then a charge may be necessary.

I would try contact customer service and explain the issue to them it definitely sounds like a drive problem though

I think you'll have to contact Microsoft support, I think your drive has a problem.

Is the console still under warranty?

2nd of 2. The first still works, and is probably an easy fix. My disc stopped reading, and now won't eject either. Sill works perfect for Netflix & Arcade games.
