    Discs not reading/usb ports not working


    imive had my console for 13 months and the disc drive only reads when you tap the side while the disc is put in. At the same time, the usb ports dont work unless you hit a very small, almost nonexistent sweet spot. Is this a widespread problem with xbox1's?
    13 months means more money and seems like a waste. Btw, its the $500 system.

    usb ports not working

    I have an arcade model xbox with three usb ports. I have a kinect, a wireless adaptor and a usb stick connected. I find each time i turn the console on one or more of the usb connections does not register. this seems to alternate each time i turn it on......
    very frustrating since i have upgrades saved on the usb memory... What is going on??????/

    usb ports not working

    If your console is very old it's possible that it's finally starting to give up the ghost. You should consider doing what I did before it dies outright - find a gaming store near you that has a great trade in deal and trade your console in for a newer model
    with a warranty. I traded in my older console for a new slim during a trade in offer at my local gaming store and basically got my 250 gb slim console for $130.

    External hard drive issues.

    Hi!

    Sometimes it may happen that the disc isn't read correctly. Try to clear the cache and connecting the external HDD to another USB port on the console.

    is a SanDisk Cruzer Edge 16GB USB Flash Drive compatible with an xbox 360?

    I just checked out a couple of reviews on the flash drive and it seems it's quite power hungry, I'm wondering if the console is struggling to supply enough power to the flash drive and that is causing the disc read error when you're playing the game from
    the USB flash drive.

    Try the USB port on the rear for the console, I have found that in some instances that seems to supply a little more power than the front USB ports. Another option could be a powered USB hub connected to the console to take some of the strain off the consoles
    USB ports.

    the usb ports may not be working fine if it is not recognizing the external hard drive. she first needs to make sure that usb ports will read other things and make sure they are working fine first. then she can use the links i gave her to troubleshoot or
