Discrete GPU crashes when charging

Let's leave the reformatting as the last option

Try these options, if one doesn't work. Proceed with the other:

0. Select the dedicated GPU as default card when running both desktop and Microsoft Store games.

For this go to Windows settings > System > Display > Graphics > Below custom options for apps, start adding your games.

If it's a non-microsoft store game, select the "Desktop app" > select browse and find the .exe for each game

To do the opposite select instead Microsoft Store app.

Once added click on the game > options > High performance.

1. Try reinstalling both discrete and dedicated graphics drivers using the manufacturer site directly (if you already have the latest versions, do the opposite. Install a previous one for both cards)

2. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case it is the one that is causing conflicts

4. Perform an in-place upgrade for your system in case the SFC tool doesn't repair or find anything:

5. Format the PC in case there's a virus or something interfering with your PC

It did receive some windows updates including display driver windows updates as well. It occurs on most of my games csgo, dota, genshin impact. I'm thinking of reformating my laptop.

As per Josef, before you do such a drastic step, I suggest you also try completely clearing your graphics driver using a utility called DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). You can download DDU from here. Scroll down to the bottom of the page on that link to find the actual download link.

• Before running DDU, download the latest driver for your RX 560X from AMD's website. Store it somewhere on your laptop, but do not install it yet
  
• Download DDU and run the program. From the drop down select AMD and then click 'Clean and Restart'. Wait for the program to complete the process.
  
• Your laptop will reboot. When does you'll need to install the graphics driver you downloaded earlier. Everything may look bigger and low resolution at the moment. This normal for the moment until the graphics driver installs.
  

The other issue could be heat. Laptops are notorious for getting very warm, especially during gaming. It could be that your laptop has a dust build-up and now needs cleaning, pretty common for laptops. When you're on the battery the system will not draw as much power, it may not even use the discreet graphics processor (dropping back to the built in the RX Vega graphics iGPU. Less power draw means less heat which may explain less crashing/lockups.

Your laptop have recent hardware? Or whe did you purchased it?
May I know if you already tried reinstalling both GPU graphics drivers to see how it goes or which extra troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix the issue?

It is happening on a windows 11 os. It does not have a recent hardware, I purchased it about a year ago already as well. Also, I did try reinstalling both drivers since i used the amd auto detect tool. I am using amd radeon rx560x series and an amd radeon vega for the integrated one. If i am not mistaken
