Discount Xbox One the day after paying $150 more

I just got my Xbox One Assassins creed Package delivered and was looking forward to playing it when I went on line to get some set up help and was shocked.

The same package was $150 cheaper. I have never been so deflated in my whole life. What a Xmas present, I could be playing so many of the game I couldn't afford to buy. when I contacted Xbox they said they could not help. Thanks for the customer support."Not".
I have been a loyal customer for so may years and they couldn't even say sorry.

Buy kinect separately for xbox one

Hello everyone

If the new Kinect Sensor cost more than $100, then it doesn't make any sense to pick-up the $400 Kinectless Xbox One if there is even the remote possibility of the individual wanting to pick-up the Kinect Sensor.

I believe that the Kinect 1.0 was sold at $150 when it was released & keeping this price point in mind, that individual (the one who wants the Kinect Sensor after picking-up the Kinectless Xbox One) would be paying $50 more without any taxes being applied
to the $550 purchase ($400 + $150 = $550. Then $550 + taxes = ????).

The Amazon or Xbox.com up to 150€ discount for a Xbox One depending on the Gamerscore.

Mines was 120€

Where did you order the One? MS Store? 3rd party retailer?

Not that gamerscore is any indication of loyalty, but you have a score of 195 and 6 games played on your card. Your history goes back 2 years. Just saying.

 

It's all about luck of the draw for sales and where you buy it. Sometimes some retailers will be happy to reimburse you the difference for a piece of electronics if you find it a week later on sale. Other times not so much. If you bought your system online
you maybe out of luck.

 

you probably bought it from a brick and mortar local store...paid full price without shopping around for a better price .. finally seen a better price and instead of slapping your own forehead and sounding like Homer Simpson (DOH!) you contact the manufacturer
of the item you bought asking THEM for a refund instead of where you bought it.. sounds like you are new to the outside world and your consumer knowledge is severely limited.. suck it up and learn....

how much did you pay? i thought there was a $75 discount, wasn't aware there was one for $150.

 

Following this logic Microsoft should reimburse their customers every time they do a price drop. Pretty sure they have a console war they are trying to win.

 

It's always a good idea to comparison shop, find out about a stores price match policy and return policy, BEFORE making a purchase.

Here is a blurb from Microsoft s return policy...

If you’d like to return your purchase made in the last thirty days without any hassles, you can initiate this yourself in your order history

If you purchased your Microsoft Product from somewhere other than Microsoft Store, please visit that retailer to discuss a refund based on their policies.

So you have thirty days to return it if they don't want to "price match". If you bought it from another retailer...why would you call Microsoft?

I brought it from the Microsoft online store, If I brought it from a retail store I could have returned it.

I have tried to contact Xbox / Microsoft however there doesnt seem to be any one I can contact.

Prices do come down over time. Some say it pays to shop around. Under NZ law retailers don't have to accept returns based on "change of mind", but if you buy some clothes and if they're the incorrect size, or if a product is faulty, retailers are more likely
to help you out. In my view, Xbox Live seems to not give out refunds unless there was some fault or required to do so by law.

As for Xbox Support, some peps at the call centre tend to be more sympathetic compared to others, especially if your a young chap who contacts them. When I've contacted Xbox Support 99% of the time they've been friendly and approachable. Only with some of
them do I get the feeling they're reading off a script like 100% of the time, only because they have standards. I assure you they're not robots and they do represent one of the worlds top reputable companies, Microsoft. When I try ringing up certain peps or
companies they say "your call may be monitored for quality and training purposes".

 

I am very confused. Since when did MS start selling Xbox One's for $200? Ever since the beginning of November Xbox One has been on sale for $349. Why did you either A, get charged $500? or B. Where is there an advertised price of $200?
