    Hi there,

    I just wanted to ask if there are any discounts when you own the 360 version of a game (like in my case FIFA 15) and you want to play it on your Xbox One, but don't want to pay the whole amount for the same game. And since the One is not compatible with
    old games it would be a nice gesture of Microsoft to facilitate the transition to the next gen console.

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The discounts that Microsoft offers for students and military members exclude Xbox consoles, games and accessories. The article entitled

    Discount for ported games on the Xbox One

    I would like to ask MS and the Game publishers to consider offering a discount for purchasing ported games for the Xbox One, if the game was purchased previously on the 360 by the same XBL account. BTW thanks for the Minecraft discount MS! Discount for games :)

    Some games are given upgrade offers. Unfortunately FIFA is not one of them.

    Currently you can upgrade DLC for Minecraft for free. CoD AW offers a free upgrade of the full game and DLC until March and Rockstar 2014 offers free upgrades of their music DLC.

    For any other offers you should keep an eye on majornelson.com

    an additional discount works with gold, and You have additional discount for games in XGP, but I'm not really sure what XGP discount works with games on sales

    So just to check what you are saying in regards to the discount, would I have been able to buy the game discounted while it was still on game pass, but because it had just left there was no discount?
    Yes, the game still has to be on Game Pass in order to have a discount.

    The Minecraft discounted price offer is still valid (I believe the discount is permanent for owners of the Xbox 360 edition of the game).

    As for the discounted price for Australian buyers: the price should be about 25% of the original price (75% discount).
