discord voice chat and in-game mic issue

May we ask if you can try disconnecting to the Discord while playing the game? Let us check if the issue would persist outside the streaming app you are using. By the way, will issue persists if you just play the game without Discord?

and to make matters worse my headset works on my friends Xbox so it something with the Xbox s I'm using I tried factory resetting it didn't work unplug the TV and Xbox waited 5 minutes tried messing with the chat mixer everything wiped the headset plug with alcohol tried a different controller on this Xbox s nothing tried unplugging HDMI nothing

I'm on the Xbox s I don't have access to that

1. Are you experiencing this issue on other Xbox games?
   
2. May we know if you experience the same issue playing Overwatch 2 without using Discord?
   

Here are some steps you can try for this issue:



Try another headset:

• See if issue persists, if you are using different headset.
  

Check the audio and mic settings for both apps.

• On Discord settings > Voice & Video tab > Advance section > disable Exclusive Mode > then save.
  
• On Overwatch 2 application, make sure that the correct microphone is selected as the default recording device.
  
• Restart both the Discord and Overwatch 2 and try using the microphone again.
  

If issue persists, please let us know the answers to our questions above.
