Discord messed up xbox's audio

Hello,

I tried discord voice today. I have headphones connected. Discord itself works fine. The problem is everything else doesn't since that moment. There is no audio from any other source coming from the headphones. Even when I'm not on a discord call. If I try to play with headphones connected, it gets super laggy, and no sound. Super weird issue. Using discord just once messed up with some headphones settings and I don't know how to go back. I tried to reset audio settings and that didn't work.

I see, just to confirm. Are you using an stable OS for your console. Right?

If yes, please try factory resetting the console but keeping games and apps:
Go to settings > system > console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps

If maybe that doesn't work and in case you didn't try it, could be nice perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed/updated from scratch.

Just tried all that, it didn't work. I also tried unlinking the discord account on my xbox with the same results.

May I know if you tried power cycling your console, usually that helps to fix those issues:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.

Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again

Honestly the best option here for separating the audio would be Discord (or another 3rd party chat program) and I'm quite surprised that you say the audio on there isn't as good as Xbox because from my experience audio in Discord is much better. You may
want to check your settings in Discord and make sure it's all good there.
