Disconnection issues

Hello, every 5-10 minutes, my account gets logged out of xbox live, no clue why, my internets fine, but this is terrible trying to watch netflix

any help?

Live has been diaconnected for 2 days in china.All of chinese !!!

Hey there, stutzy18. Sorry to hear you're encountering some disconnections from Xbox LIVE. Does this only happen when playing Halo 4, or do you notice it anywhere else? For example, when launching any apps or navigating the dashboard? Let us know!

Is there something wrong with Live?

Site doesnt say so.

done this every single time..

It connects me to the internet but xbox live will still say some aspects are unavailable and once in awhile (like every 5-10 minutes) i get kicked off

its saying "matchmaking error" now, but that should effect me logging in for netflix etc

Did you enter the correct username and password for your Xbox Live profile,
My Names Dallas, but the system signed you in with a different profile? Namely,
WhineyBOoster.

Make sure you don't post up any information regarding the username and password for your profile. Just answer, Yes, or No, in regard to my question.

my main email isnt connect to , so when it auto signs me in, it uses my main email which is connected to whiny that has nothing to do with the xbox problems though, just had to say why the answer wasnt ""

I would really appreciate if you are able to find out the make and model of your gateway.

Are you getting disconnected from Xbox Live, regardless if you play games online, or if you're trying to watch Netflix?

You mentioned that you have two console's. Would that be two Xbox 360's, or? If two Xbox's, are they operating
simultaneously?

Do you experiencing the same symptoms, even when you connect your console with a wired solution?

idk where to find that info (the gateway info)

i get disconnected on netflix, and if im just playing games, like tomb raider, CoD, etc

my step dads console upstairs, they usually dont run at the same time as he never goes on his.

the only way i can hard wire connect my xbox is if i bridge connections between it and my PC

no ethernet spots down here.

this has only started recently, like the past 10 days ish

I can see that your profile have change, from Gold, to silver.

Do you have a provider-specific subscriptions for Netflix? If not, then I would assume that this can be caused by the fact that your gold subscription has come to an end.

Try disconnecting from your internet and then turn your xbox off for about 10 minutes

then turn it on in reconnect to your internet .

also do you have your account on any other xbox .

taidara, my xbox live gold ran out on the 15th, this has been happening for longer, and i do have an external netflix account. it will also disconnect me from XBL outside of netflix, like, my entire xbox logs out of XBL.

little deerdude, i have disconnected my internet, ive turned it off also, this is the only xbox with my account

Hi, please try all of the following and reply back.

1. Clear your XBOX 360's System Cache. Instructions found here. When you're done try to launch whatever game your having this
issue in and see if it still occurs.

2. Delete your gamer profile off of the XBOX 360 and then download it again. Instructions can be found here. Deletion instructions
can be found on the bottom of the page (make sure when you are following the directions to delete the gamer profile that you DELETE PROFILE ONLY and not Profile and Items, this is VERY important). After you've done this step try to connect
online again with any game and see if you are signed out again when launching the game.

3. Check your XBOX 360 storage device to see if there is any sort of corrupt or damaged files on the hard drive. You can do this by going to XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > System > Storage > Hard Drive > Games and Apps > Look through all of the games your
having this issue on and see if there are any files in there that have a damaged icon next to them (looks like a yellow exclamation mark). Check to see if this problem still occurs by launching a game and see if you get disconnected from XBOX Live.

Thanks for the reply but i'm looking for how to stop disconnecting, not how to open my NAT.

Brosky, you need to make sure that all the router functionality is disabled in that device. I have seen where some of the router functions were still attempting to function causing the NAT to be moderate/strict.

The first device is set up as a modem. It currently is not functioning as a router.

Greetings, x Itz Suicide x. It seems like there may be some restrictions based on your college network. Your best bet would be to contact your campus' IT department and see if they can forward ports to grant you access to LIVE. Here are the ones that need
to be opened:
support.xbox.com/.../network-ports-used-xbox-live. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
