Disconnection from xbox live after a few minutes on any game

Since the 26th of februari i have been getting disconnected consistently anytime and everytime i try and play a game online (Destiny demo, Dark souls 2, Unreal Tournament 3, Defiance) which didn't happen before that date except at earlier experienced xbox
live outages.

I have been trying every solution i've come across on and off the support pages and tested my own internet connection, that of my neighbour and even my phone's hotspot all to no avail. I have also tried playing online on my Gamertag on my backup xbox 360
and tested the wires and power supply.

I even tried all the solutions like clearing the systems cache, content cache, deleting and redownloading system updates and profile, setting manual IP and DNS settings, restoring to factory defaults in as many different orders i could think of (i even had
a piece of paper i used to keep track of what order i already have done this)

The ONLY solution i have not tried is formatting my HDD, which i am very reluctant to do as i have no USB ready for use and the last time i had this issue it didn't work.

Every single time i try and get on Defiance my xbox either freezes and disconnects from xbox live in the patcher/menus or disconnects me after being in game for 0-15 minutes, no matter how long i stay in xbox dashboard/home however as i won't get disconnected
from there (even left my xbox 360 on overnight, only to come back and see it still online)

I also have had a few times where when opening defiance from the My Games library my screen would freeze for a few minutes until i got a disconnection notice.

Most of the time i get no error notice when i get disconnected and i have no problem reconnecting to xbox live when i go back to test xbox live connection or turn off and restart my xbox. Another thing i've noticed upon startup or signing in is that the
amount of friends online in the notice and actual friends online in my list differ from eachother (The notice always shows much less friends being online)

If i immediately try to reconnect however without doing a xbox live test i get one of the two following error codes if it fails to connect: 80151901 or 80151904.

My xbox360 has been doing this since the 26th of februari and with my subscription expiring the 21st of march i do wish to fix this problem as i see no reason to buy xbox live if it does not work again for nearly a month.

New Dashboard Issues (Preview)

Hey guys,

since i got the new dashboard, i get a lot of disconnections from any party chat i am in. i can't even enjoy my new games like guitar hero live or halo 5 because i get disconnected after 3 or 5 minutes...

is it possible to install the old xbox one dashboard? the new one with all these disconnections is very annoying and frustrasting..

 

Constant Random Xbox Live Disconnections

I have such problem with Dark Souls but not constantly.

Sometimes (very rarely) it's working good without any disconnections.

But more often I see "Player __ has been disconnected from Live" after 5-10 minutes of playing game.

It's frustrating.

 

I am also getting the same update when starting up unreal tournament 3 every time.

First i get a "xbox live connection has been lost" notice followed by the update prompt which is done updating in about 10 seconds. So far i haven't found anything about this.

My xbox does reconnect immediately after finishing the update though the issue where i get DCed when attempting online play is still there.

 

More to add: before getting disconnected earlier i received a message from someone, which upon opening gave a "Service temporarily unavailable" notice. After waiting a while and reconnecting i checked my inbox but there was no new message or it was deleted
while trying to open it.

Also receiving error code: 8007042A sometimes now

 

Bump with more info:

Along with the original problem i am hearing some very loud clicking noises coming from my xbox 360 after having it on for for longer than 15 minutes and starting up my xbox (pretty often) now takes 5 minutes (during which time the whole screen is pretty
much just grayed out)

I've also been receiving all kinds of different error messages (some not in the error/status code search list) and had my disk tray get stuck one time as well without having used it for weeks, during which the ring of light on the xbox itself kept flashing
(Green, not red though and my controller was still connected)

So sadly i think it might be safe to say it will probably need repairs or replacement soon.
