Disconnecting when starting games

my connection was always really good with xbox live until maybe a month ago when I started having issues which I believe are unrelated to my broadband. almost every time I load up a game I am disconnected (nothing to do with updates, I have the latest ones
installed already). Also, if I am playing a game I will disconnect EXACTLY 2 hours after the time I signed in to xbox live. NAT Type is open so I don't think that is the issue either. All of my other devices stay connected at these times including my brother's
ps4. This is a huge inconvenience for me because almost all of the games I play will take longer than 2 hours to complete.

im disconnecting from live when starting up a game or app and already tried downloading my profile again so yeaahhhh..

Try disconnecting your console from LIVE and then starting the game.

Forgot to mention... I've tried clearing my cache, re-downloading my profile... Hell, I've even tried on another xbox 360.

Hey there OP, sorry to hear about the connection issue! Because this is occurring when you first launch a game, I'd recommend re-downloading your profile using the download profile option in the sign-in menu. Can you please give this a try, and let us know
how it goes?

Hey mate, that does sound really odd. I've seen this issue a bit and generally if it's disconnecting at the start of a game and reconnecting straight after deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console
and re-download your profile and it should clear it up.

Though as it's only with disc based games I'm not entirely sure if the above will work.

Delete and re-download profile:
support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

Clear system cache:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache
