Disconnecting on dashboard.

Hello,

I have been having this problem for about a week now, never had it before but this is what happens.

When I sign into my account and go idle or AFK on the xbox 360 dashboard I disconnect from xbox live after 5-10 mins. This has never happened before and it ONLY happens on the xbox 360 dashboard.

For example I could be playing a game for 5+ hours straight and not disconnect, but as soon as I go to the xbox 360 dashboard after 5-10 I get disconnected from Xbox Live.

I have read up on this and I have already tried to clear system cache and I also have tried redownloading my xbox live profile and it doesn't seem to work.

If anyone knows how to fix this it would help me greatly.

I am also connected via wired so I'm pretty sure it's not on my internet connections end.

Been playing xbox for years now and just started having this problem about a week ago.

Everyone I sign into my account and go IDLE or AFK I get disconnected from xbox live after 5-10 mins.

I have read up on this and tried clearing system cache a few times. I have also tried removing my xbox profile and deleting it.

I have also checked for "corrupt" games and there isn't one.

I have also restarted/reset my internet, and I have high-speed so I don't think that's the problem.

Also, I can play a game like Cod/Halo/Titanfall/Ect... for hours and never disconnect but as soon as I go on dashboard and go idle/afk it disconnects me.

I have pretty much tried everything that I listed above, and nothing works. The xbox isn't that old either. Just bought a new 360 slim about a year ago.

Please help.

Still not working. I have restarted my internet too..........

We could be looking at two different issues here.

1. Your Xbox 360 has some corrupted content.

2. Your account has some issues.

Let's start with number one, could you go to your Hard Drive (Settings > System Settings> Storage/Memory), and see if there are any orange/yellow exclamation marks. Any corrupted content is designated with that exclamation mark.
