  1. Disconnecting issues


    I've been having a ton of issues with my Xbox's connectivity recently. Very often, I will just be playing any game on Xbox such as Halo, Overwatch, or BO3, the sound will glitch out for half a second
    (very important, because in every game I've played, I always disconnect when the sound glitches) and it will say I've been disconnected. I will go to the dashboard and it will say "Connect to Xbox Live" for 3 seconds, then all the store deals
    and stuff will come back. In maybe 5-10 minutes, it will disconnect again. I've been experiencing this on my Xbox One only since last year, and before it started, I never had this sort of issue with my Xbox One. It really only happens on my Xbox One, it never
    happened to me on my 360 before and it never happens on my on my laptop. I've called my ISP and I'm pretty sure there's nothing else they can do. They came over and checked and replaced the router but problems still continued to persist. I've tried hard resetting
    my Xbox One and my router but it only takes a few hours before the disconnects happen every 5-10 minutes again. I'd really like to solve this issue, I've been temp-banned from playing online in many games due to this issue. I've been trying to find answers
    for the past few months with no success.

    has anyone actually gotten a refund for destiny?

    The new patch from last Tuesday has exacerbated the disconnection problem. Disconnections were always an issue in Destiny but it's gotten worse. Lots of complaints out there for the raid and nightfall this week. Ideally there is a hotfix for this ASAP.

    what is the router you had and the router you have now ? some isp issued routers have a hard time staying connected to xbox live ? are you wired or wireless ?

  5. I have a wireless TG1682G, they replaced it with the exact same thing. As explained, I've never had an issue with this router before on my 360 or my laptop.

  6. Those are notorious for lag and disconnections....some have luck wired but I would give it back to your isp and get just a plain modem , then a plain router (Netgear cheapie works well with xbox one) , other devices (even a 360) working dosent mean the
    xbox one can....

    you could take the xbox to a friend or family members house to test , but my money is on that gateway

    Hi, please try all of the following and reply back.

    1. Clear your XBOX 360's System Cache. Instructions found here. When you're done try to launch whatever game your having this
    issue in and see if it still occurs.

    2. Delete your gamer profile off of the XBOX 360 and then download it again. Instructions can be found here. Deletion instructions
    can be found on the bottom of the page (make sure when you are following the directions to delete the gamer profile that you DELETE PROFILE ONLY and not Profile and Items, this is VERY important). After you've done this step try to connect
    online again with any game and see if you are signed out again when launching the game.

    3. Check your XBOX 360 storage device to see if there is any sort of corrupt or damaged files on the hard drive. You can do this by going to XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > System > Storage > Hard Drive > Games and Apps > Look through all of the games your
    having this issue on and see if there are any files in there that have a damaged icon next to them (looks like a yellow exclamation mark). Check to see if this problem still occurs by launching a game and see if you get disconnected from XBOX Live.

    Brosky, you need to make sure that all the router functionality is disabled in that device. I have seen where some of the router functions were still attempting to function causing the NAT to be moderate/strict.

    The first device is set up as a modem. It currently is not functioning as a router.

    Greetings, x Itz Suicide x. It seems like there may be some restrictions based on your college network. Your best bet would be to contact your campus' IT department and see if they can forward ports to grant you access to LIVE. Here are the ones that need
    to be opened:
    support.xbox.com/.../network-ports-used-xbox-live
