Discus and support Disconnecting from Xbox Live since Nxoe update ( yes this again) in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I think I've done almost everything there is to do in 2 months and I still can't figure it out.     Disconnecting from Xbox Live since Nxoe update ( yes this again)


    I think I've done almost everything there is to do in 2 months and I still can't figure it out. I'm at a complete loss. Pretty much since the Novemebr update ( never did it disconnect once before that) I get disconnected for literally about 1 second (enough
    to kick you from your game) and then it connects again. This only happens when on wired connection, it's perfectly fine on wireless but of course I much prefer to play on wired. Here are some more details:

    Router model: Cisco EPC 3928s

    Upnp: Enabled

    If I'm in party I get this error code: 0x80072EE7

    Things I've tried to solve this:

    • Hard resetting/restarting router and Xbox
    • Removing profile from Xbox and adding it again
    • Clearing Mac address
    • Port forwarding and opening Xbox ports
    • Trying numerous other Ethernet cables, plugging cable in different ports
    Other things that ain't coming to mind atm.

    Again 100% the update caused this so no point disputing that

    It's probably trying to download an update, try disconnecting the console from xbox live and try installing it again.

    X1 Desperate Help !!

    I've tried hard resetting and updating and the controller is charged. I don't understand why that every time my Xbox disconnects from live that my controller disconnects as well. For starters I don't even know why my live is disconnecting...

    What is your modem , or does is that router also your modem ? (I'm on my phone and can't check the model #)

    This is a residential gateway. Do you have your console set up with a static/reserved IP address?

    @Bimnog its also my modem

    @genesis sry I'm a tech noob so not sure what gateways and such mean. I never assigned a static ip to my Xbox but when I check it in the network it's always the same

  7. only way to really test it would be to try a different router , take it to a friends or family members house and see if it will connect wired there , if it does , you know its your router , if it dosent , the xbox has a bad port....you might also try and
    restore your router back to defaults , somewhere on the back is a little button (paper clip or toothpick) hold it in for 30 seconds or so....

    Too many users are complaining about EXACT thing lately (forums, support channels)! So any suggestion that the problem is on your side is kind of short sighted. Checked some of these posts where people are complaining about it, and these suggestions what
    people have been giving has not been working, they still have these problems. And there is too many people complaining about exact thing so it's not coincidence. And since there has been lately lots of network problems on Microsoft side (confirmed many times
    by Microsoft staff), it looks like it's related to latest update. Are you using public update or preview one? If you are part of preview you should post it in preview forums. If you are using public update, contact with Microsoft support (I suggest online
    chat) and let them know what's going on. That way you can help them collect more data to help them figure out what's going.

  9. @Edragon , the reason for that is lots of people still use older or inferior router's , each update xbox gets exposes that fact...99 times out of 100 , it's the equipment ...

    I keep on having issues logging into master chief collecting multiplayer. I had this issue using my 14 day trial and never got to actually take advantage. Im new to this xbox world. Hope xbox can help me resolve this issue. I did get down how to get it going..but
    its a pain having to reset it everytime. Please heelllpppppp

    @LoveSick27 - If you haven't alrady, please go ahead and start a fresh new thread with a detailed descritpion of your situation, along with any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far.

    FYI: Your profile (LoveSick27) doesn't seem to be tied to gold subscription at the moment. So please keep this in mind if you're trying to play games in multiplayer mode (which require Xbox Live Gold).
