Disconnecting from Xbox Live in the Middle of Gameplay - Tried ALL the Recommended Fixes

MS Team - I've been experiencing consistent issues with game play. Sometimes I can go for an hour, sometimes it's 10 minutes. I've read and viewed just about every article on the subject but to no avail.

For context I'm pinging 30 - 50 Mbps Down / 10Mbps Up, hard-wired into a Motorola Surfboard SBG6782-AC

I've tried the following:

1) Clear my cache multiple times

2) Reset my XBOX network settings to default

3) Enable Plug-n-Play on my router

4) Open NAT (i.e. test my connection)

5) Delete profile and re-download profile

6) Search for corrupted files and delete

7) Roll back a version and re-install update

8) Swap out hard drives

9) The obvious unplug-router-and-wait-replug

What is the deal here Microsoft?

Please advise.

X1 Desperate Help !!

I've tried hard resetting and updating and the controller is charged. I don't understand why that every time my Xbox disconnects from live that my controller disconnects as well. For starters I don't even know why my live is disconnecting...

 

yugioh 5ds disconnection

Everytime I play yugioh 5ds decade duels online it keeps disconnecting me from xbox live in the middle of a battle, and it all fine when im at the main menu, so is there anything wrong with the game?

 

You can also add port forwarding to the above list (80,88,53,3074,1863).

 

Just fixed this issue last night after doing all the same things. I did all the above, and it continued even after hours with tech support

EASY FIX. Mine was severely over heating. especially if it is stored at the vertical position. there is a main vent on the bottom. Take the machine out and let it sit, fan it off and let it cool. Then try to log in again.

The machine needs to breath and after time overheating cant destroy heat links and mother board.

Try to store in such a way that all ventilation ports are getting proper air flow.

I had this issue for a week and kept getting worse. not anymore! Mine is working

Not a fix for me.

I will experience this issue within the first few minutes of having my xbox on and it's very well ventilated.

 

Perhaps I need to try Retailer->Playstation->Purchase. That may finally fix the issue.

 

Finally found the issue.

BIG THANKS to Microsoft for not replying to this thread or offering assistance in any way.

FIX: I was using the Motorola SURFboard SBG6782-AC, hardwired directly into the modem (thus eliminating the possibility for wireless related issues). I have since replaced it with a ZOOM 5352 Modem/Router combo and have not experienced the issue at all
(after more than 100 hours of gameplay).

While we all know Motorola and Microsoft are technology partners, there is no good reason they should not be offering guidance regarding the compatibility of SBG modems.

Please comment if you found this and are using a Motorola Modem or Router.
