    Disconnecting from xbox live and then not reading discs


    Hey, i've ran into a big problem with my xbox360 slim. I've had it 2 years and only recently its started playing up. I try and play a game and I just get disconnected from xbox live without the game working. It doesn't come up saying the disc is unreadable
    it just disconnects me and then restarts my console. I have a video showing what happens if you would like to see it. Thanks for reading, I hope for a response soon. ~Dan

    Halo 5 installation stopped 3% physical copy

    You don't have to disconnect from Xbox Live. Just decline the patch when it presents you with one and it will just install off the disc first.

    I just updated my console and after that my console`s having problem reading disc even discs i`ve played before updating .

    I had the same problem with not reading discs. Try signing out of Xbox live, then insert the disc. I had problems with all my discs before my console was banned now that I'm not on Live, they work fine.

    Have you updated your proofs on your Microsoft account? Have you cleared your cache 3 times? Do you have a hard drive or a memory unit? If you continue to have problems I would call support. They can help.

    I havnt had it direct connect yet. I can try that. That it only says there's a disc reading issue once the Xbox has already disconnected me from live. I'll try what you said.

    Hello Meteorologist - if you disconnect from LIVE, will it allow you to install it at that point? If so, hard drive installation may not be supported by the publisher, and this would mean that when connected to LIVE, it will always read the game from the
    disc. Let us know the results! :)

    Have you tried disconnecting from Xbox live and downloading the game directly from the disc?
