Disconnected

Whenever i or my friend join eachothers paarty, i disonnect. ive tried restarting console waiting over night, testing nat connection - open. i dont know what to do

Destiny no Internet connection...

I get disconnected a lot. Never had as many disconnections with any game before.

 

has anyone actually gotten a refund for destiny?

The new patch from last Tuesday has exacerbated the disconnection problem. Disconnections were always an issue in Destiny but it's gotten worse. Lots of complaints out there for the raid and nightfall this week. Ideally there is a hotfix for this ASAP.

 

Have your friend check their NAT to see if they too are open..Also check to make sure your internet speed is optimal to what you subscribe to.

Wildboy Wiley's option is correct, another issue could be you do not have the ports necessary open for Xbox Live to function and be optimal for you.

One way that I know how to fix this is:

1. Look at your IPv6 address and then type into a google search.
2. It will take you to a login which your username and password should just be admin. Login using that.
3. From there you can add ports to automatically be open.

The ports required for Xbox Live to function optimally for you are listed below. Ask your friend to look under the same thing using his IPv6 address and be sure the ports are open.

• Port 88 (UDP)
• Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
• Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
• Port 80 (TCP)
• Port 500 (UDP)
• Port 3544 (UDP)
• Port 4500 (UDP)
