Disconnected when I try to play multiplayer games

i have this same problem. 2 days ago i got an updated modem/router from my ISP. Since then i get kicked off live trying to search for games. Ive tried deleting profile, clearing system cache and opening ports on my router. I am just a simple gamer who doesnt
know how all this works but the computer works fine but my xbox has this problem. any help would be awesome!!!!!!

 

@xNightFeather - Sounds like an idea, to try get your current gateway replaced.

Two more steps, if you may, would be to disable Port Forwarding, and DMZ, and only use UPnP, as the method to automatically forwarding network ports used by Xbox Live. Then assign your Xbox a reserved IP address, with the help of DHCP Reservation.

The second step would be to confirm that the hard drive is function properly. This can easily be verified, if you go ahead and remove the HDD, and insert USB flash drive (configured for use with the Xbox 360) , as temporary storage device.

Whatever method you select, please keep us posted.

So the tech refused to give me a different one. I tried DHCP but it won't let me select my xbox address it says it is a static address

 

Go to Xbox Network Settings and select Configure Network. Select the Additional settings tab and Restore network to factory defaults. Press "B" on your controller and select Test Xbox Live Connection.

If your gateway is running the latest version of firmare, reserve your Xbox IP address with the following method:

1. Open a web browser.
2. Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.
   
3. When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.
4. Select Basic from the menu at the top.
5. Select DHCP on the left.
6. Find your Xbox on the list labeled DHCP Clients and select the select button
7. This should reserve the current private IP address for your Xbox.

If your gateway runs on an older version of firmware, then you have to manually type in your console's MAC address, along with a unique IP address, as shown here:

1. Open a web browser.
2. Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
   
3. Select login from the side menu.
4. Enter the username and password. (user/user)
5. Select Gateway from the menu at the top.
6. Select "Gateway" across the top.
7. Select "Static Lease" on the left.
8. Enter in the Mac and IP addresses for the Xbox.
9. Select the Enable Check box to the right.
10. Select Apply.

How to find out your consoles physcial address (MAC):

1. On your console, press the Guide button on your controller, go to
   Settings, and select System Settings.
2. Select Network Settings.
3. Select the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
4. Select Configure Network.
5. On the Additional Settings tab, select Advanced Settings.

MAC address is shown on the screen (for example: 0017FAD7CD80

 

Yes! Have UPnP ticked Enable.

Make sure that you've disabled Port forwarding and DMZ.

After you've reserved an IP address (DHCP Reservation), go to your console's network settings, and make sure the IP address that you've reserved is the very same address your console has been assigned to it.

Still messing up. It seems like I need a new router

 

I think that would be a great idea, but before you do so, try my second advice, to remove your console's HDD and use a USB flash drive (configured for use with the Xbox 360). This is to determine if this is actually related to your console's HDD, or not.

If you consider to add an additional router/NAT device, to your existing networking infrastructure, then Contact your ISP and ask them about the possibility to configure your Ubee DDW365 in bridge mode, or if they can deploy you with a standard modem, or
a gateway that can be configured (by you, or remotly) to be operating in bridge mode.

What should I do with? Like after I take out my harddrive and put in the flash drive do I just play a few games?

 

Play a few games! Just make sure you have configured your USB flash drive for use with the Xbox 360, as follows:

Does the Microsoft teredo tunneling adapter affect anything?

 

The Xbox 360 doesn't use Teredo. So the answer is, no!

 

Sounds like its the Ubee router cause I have the same problem with same router

 

From what the tech told me is that we were given a generic router that is only good for web browsing
