    an Xbox Live server, doesn't use port 3074 for Xbox traffic. So, by using a web browser on your computer, to sign in to your Xbox Live profile, there's no port/filtering competition by using this method.

    Misses Quinzel - How do I get in contact with a Connectivity specialist Wait nvm I saw it mentioned earlier. But so you want me to call a CS then put them on hold and conference in Charter?

    Anyone know of a way to persistently monitor ports / connectivity since Charter doesn't allow Business accounts access to their modem/router (how stupid is that?).

    DAT 619 Soulja I added you. I can't access settings on the UBEE though. Charter locks them out for business accounts for some reason.

    So I talked to a Connectivity Specialist. They recommended going with a straight modem instead of a gateway. Not too much knowledge on the subject but apparently with the UBEE products there is an issue with either the firmware or routing software that has
    issues with matchmaking type servers.

    Called Charter, after a bit of talking and discussion, the tech mentioned something about the UBEEs having issues with VOIP connections as well. In his opinion it might be the same thing. Pushed out some sort of rule change (wouldn't explain what it was
    exactly they did) and said give it 48 hours and see if I still have the random disconnect issues when playing multiplayers.

    Guess I'll give it a try and come back Sunday.

Been getting the same issue myself, been happening since the networks were taken down for the matchmaking fix they did the week before, guess they forgot to plug the xbox hamster back in that keeps live working "Disconnected from Xbox Live" - only when playing multiplayer-type scenarios :(

    Edstark, not sure if you have the same equipment or not. I never noticed it before the changeover to a business account (I do a lot of the building maintenance for the landlord) since I wasn't using a gold account. After consolidating, I had decided to reactivate
    my subscription and never put 2 and 2 together. I didn't follow when Destiny came out but I had assumed that and possibly the XBone rollout was part of the issue.

    Again, I don't have access to the actual settings, nor do I know particularly what changes they implemented. I wish they would have given me a rundown so I could pass it on.

    Over the weekend I'll try MP/MM in games I was frequently getting disconnects in and see if the problem persists. If it does I'm getting rid of the gateway and just getting a straight modem and see if it in fact works.

    There has been some documented problems over the years with UBEE equipment but I could not for the life of me find a specific documented reason OR fix. Which was depressing as I found threads going back as far as 2011-ish of people complaining that after
    being supplied an UBEE gateway they had issues with online interactions.

    Charter doesn't allow Business Accounts to access settings on the Gateway "You could cause a lot of damage"...

    As far as DNS settings on the Xbox, I've tried them on automatic and manually setting them to the Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8, 4.4.4.4)

    If the problem persists I will end up seeing if I can provide my own equipment for a modem where I have full control.

  11. I looked into my settings more, my upstream settings have been locked by the ISP (which is ***) and i also looked into any conflicting settings, the main problem with these ubee roters is that they have Belkin Hardware in them............ i know..... i also
    looked at the amount of uncorrectables per minute, and it was sitting well within 200-379 uncorrectables meaning the router is pulling signal at a rate that it cant translate the network traffic, this may be your problem too. ill look into it and ill let you
    know my results. hang in there bud.

    Yea. After Charter pushed the changes I did have one disconnect within 20 minutes, but then a solid 2 hours so who knows. Tonight I'm going to throw in some MW3/Ghosts/Reach/H4 and see what happens.

    It's probably *** so we'll see if I can get Charter to either provide me with a different brand (funny, the DDW365 isn't even listed as current DOCSIS3.0 gateways for them) or allow me to provide my own.

    Push comes to shove, I get my own, spoof some info and see what happens.

    Not sure if those are strictly residential or not. Didn't see a similar page on the charterbusiness page. Either or, I'll see if I can get them to swap out for the Cisco or Netgear.

  14. Id go with the cisco as thats what i will switch to, Ubees have a connectivity and compatability with xbox live, cisco is probably the best way to go, but overall id get my own hardware because ISPs tend to lock important settings. also whatever you do,
    if you do get a ISP rented COMBO hit me up and ill walk you thru the secondary login so we can make sure that you get the correct settings.

    Long story short: Known issues with VoIP, matchmaking servers, Charter has tried several settings changes. Nada.

    Moral of the story: If supplied with Ubee products get something else.
