Disconnected from Xbox Live every 10 minutes

Hello, ever since the battlefield hardline beta came out I have been trying to make the most of its limited availability, since it ends in a few days.

However I cannot get through a full game as of today because I am being disconnected from Xbox live with no warning every 10 minutes or so. I know it isn't an issue with the beta itself as I have also tried playing destiny, idling on the dashboard and my
friends are able to play games without issue.

This is the first time in 7 years of owning a 360 that I have had this issue. Please help.

Just a couple of basic troubleshooting tips if you haven't tried any of this already, since you're on Wi-Fi:

How strong is the signal from your router? (Settings -> System -> Network - Look at the signal strength of the network you're connected to (1-4 bars))

Have you tried moving your console closer to the router?

Are there any electronic devices (especially phones or anything else that can use a wireless radio frequency) around the console, router, or in between your console and your router that could be interfering with the signal?

If possible, have you tried using a wired connection between your router and your console?

Are there any other wi-fi devices in your household experiencing similar problems?

okay soo i solved this problem, basically what i did was i hit the factory reset button on the back of my comtrend modem and after that the internet did not work soo i then called my isp and they sent a technician out and he gave me a new modem and now everything
is fixed!

Is the modem or router near metal? If it is try moving it away from any sort of metal. Wireless tends to disconnect randomly so i would stick with wired. If you connected to a router, connect it directly to the modem.

Hey Tara, so your house is wired for network connectivity. All of the wall plates route back to a patch panel and then to a router. Would you please be able to provide the make and model number of the router?
