    Disconnected from multiplayer games but not Xbox Live


    I recently upgraded my internet from 100 down to 1 gig down. About a week ago my ISP technician came out and swapped my modem out for a new one that could handle the speed upgrade. Ever since then I cannot stay connected to multiplayer matches. For example,
    before the technician came out I had no problem staying connected to multiplayer matches on Halo Wars. Now, I get booted from the match within 5 mins. This happens with other games as well. I don’t get booted off xbox live though, just from the multiplayer
    sessions. I feel like I have done everything I could with troubleshooting my Xbox....power cycling, clearing MAC, trying other DNS, deleting my profile and redownloading it, connecting it directly to the modem, port forwarding, etc, and still nothing. I think
    the problem is with the modem, cause thats the only variable that has changed. My question is, what are some possibilities that could be causing the modem to do this? And how can i fix it?

    You said that when you want to play a game online it disconnects you from live and tells you that to continue you must reconnect. Does this happen as your game loads up after you have put your disc in? Or does it disconnect you when you go to actually select
    the xbox live multiplayer of your game?

    Alright so I got into the game, did what you said, and it said I was connected to Xbox Live. Then I came here to respond and it immediately disconnected me from Live. I logged back in and now everything is fine, so apparently that was the problem; the game
    was disconnecting me from Live for some reason. I can now use the Multiplayer room. So thanks for helping me fix the problem. ^^;
