Disconnected from live when starting a game disc

Hey guys I recently had to install a new disc drive for my xbox 360. I have had it for a long time and the warranty was up so I had two choices: Buy a new console or replace the disc drive that went bad. So I went with replacing the disc drive. I bought
a used drive and calibrated it and installed it and downloaded all the updates all over again and I had, and still have one major issue. The disc drive works great with DVD's, and things like music CD's but when I put in my brand new retail copy of any game
and click A to play the game, the screen goes black as if it is starting the game and then I am immediately disconnected form xbox live and signed out of my account. Then the dash board comes back up and it instantly signs back into my profile and connects
to live. I have searched and searched all over the xbox support forums and on youtube and google and cannot find a solution to this issue. Can anyone who has encountered this problem help me out? I have an Xbox 360 Slim and it is less than 3 years old.

If you are installing from disc then you can disconnect from xbox live and install the game. When you finish connect with xbox live and start the disc, at that time you will be prompted to download updates. The reason it is taking so long to install is not
only are you installing the game you are also downloading updates. The last update to prepare for DLC was over 19 GB.

http://speedtest.net on a computer on the same network as your console, take the test there, and post the result image back here. Also, try your console wired to see if that helps. Are there multiple devices on the network at once (phones, tablets, computers)?
Though your speeds look good, if they're being shared too much, the 360 console might be getting the short end of the stick. Let me know how things go. Thanks!

I have that exact same problem, try plugging into your router/modem, that works for me, unfortunately I can't run a cord all the way from my router to my good tv.
