    Disconnect only occurring from the dashboard and the use of apps.


    Hello I am able to connect to Xbox live and I can play games online for hours, but when I stay idle in the dashboard or watch videos on YouTube or Netflix I get randomly disconnected from Xbox live after like using it for like 20 to 40 minutes. Is
    there any possible solutions?

    I live in Puerto Rico.

    Modem Brand: Motorola. Model number: SB5101

    Router Brand: Netgear. Model Number: WNR2000

    I only have one console connected to it.

    It is connected directly to the router (wired).

    I cleared the system chache three times, deleted my profile, and turned off and disconnected my router.

    Don't know if the UPnP is enabled (believe so).

    No NAT error.

    My ISP: Choice Cable Provider.

    Disconnect when starting a game

    Every time I start a game by disk it disconnects and dashboards then reconnects right away? I can still use other apps like netflix and games I bought off the dashboard but not physical disks. Any help will be helpful thx

    Cannot play minecraft on multiplayer setting.

    We also disconnect the console from wifi in system settings everytime we want to play Minecraft in multiplayer mode. We use the gold membership only for getting the free games and and using extra features and apps

    Greetings, BiGjOn! Sorry to hear you're getting disconnected from LIVE -- my apologies! I understand that the disconnections are occurring at the same time every day. Are you doing anything in particular when the disconnection occurs such as navigating through
    the dashboard, playing a game, or using an app? It seems like it's just when you're playing games. Is that correct?



    Does this only happen when using your gamertag? I'd be interested to know if the problem persists while playing on a secondary tag. Is this something you'd be able to try out for me?

    What happens when you use a direct connection to your modem as opposed to going wireless? I'd be interested to know if you are able to connect without issue while wired.
