  3. Xbox Controller Randomly Disconnects

I have the same problem. I've tried the above recommendation but that didn't help. Are you part of the preview program? I'm thinking up reformatting my xbox drive to factor and taking off the preview program to see if this helps me. I've been in the
preview program since 360 days but having a controller disconnect on fresh batteries and 5 feet from the Xbox is something I can't live with.

How to leave the Xbox One update preview program

Whether you’re selling or giving your Xbox away, or just don’t want to participate anymore, you should remove it from the update preview program. If you’ve already sold or gifted your Xbox, you can launch the Xbox Insider Hub on another console or a Windows
10 PC and follow these same directions.

    1. Launch the Xbox Insider Hub on your Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC.
    2. On the main landing page, select Settings.
    3. Select Manage devices and choose the one you want to remove from the program.
    4. Select Done.
Note: This process typically takes about 10 minutes to complete. It might help to know the serial number or name of your previous console to ensure you remove the correct one.

As part of the removal process, your Xbox may undergo a factory refresh. If a factory refresh is required, your games and apps won’t be erased, but any profiles or system settings saved to the console will need to be restored after the refresh is complete.

    Xbox Updates

Further to this, the 3.7gb update has installed, I've gotten in to the settings for the preview program and disconnected my xbox from it and I now have a 3.6gb update to install. Any explanations?

XBOX One Controller (Day One) Randomly disconnects......Randomly hesitates during a game..

    Hey there ja71ram,

I'm sorry to hear about the controller disconnecting issue you're experiencing. If you are participating in the Preview Program, the best place to ask would be in the Preview Program forums. Posting there is the most ideal for visibility sake. Thanks! :)

Xbox Live Down for the Count

You don't need to be in the preview program to play ARK.

The game preview is completely separate from the preview program, anyone can access preview games from the store on your dash.
